Patrick Gulbranson

For the past 13 years, Patrick Gulbranson has been a Family Resource Center client.

Over the years, he has been able to maintain a steady job, live on his own, pay for the bowling league he participates in every Thursday evening, and take part in both Special Olympics Iowa and Special Olympics World Games in Los Angeles, while also living a happy and fulfilling day-to-day life.

The support he receives from Family Resource Center has helped make all of this possible for Gulbranson, who has Down Syndrome. “I know there have been changes to Family Resource Center,” said Gulbranson, 31, of Stuart, at FRC’s Fall Affair on Thursday, November 1, 2018. “The staff has made sure those changes do not affect me. I know people like me need Family Resource Center to be the best we can be.”

Patrick currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Iowa Special Olympics. He likes to spread joy through a variety of opportunities to speak publicly and educate others on how we can all make a difference.
