What Services Can We Offer Audubon Residents?

It should be said that not all of our services are based on crisis situations. Some are to give people a helping hand when they’re in a hard place or even just give them a place to live if they don’t have a support system to help them. Some of the services we offer include:

Waiver Programs

As many of you probably know, waiver homes are designed to help those in the community that are disabled, whether physically or mentally. If you qualify for these kinds of services, we offer:

  • Supported Community Living – Allows clients to develop skills in their own home on their own time, with help when needed
  • Interim Medical Monitoring and Treatment – If you have a chronic illness or mobility issue, our staff can help with monitoring or intervention services based on the client’s personal needs
  • Respite – Guardians that need a break from caring for their loved one can come to our staff for temporary assistance and care for the disabled individual
  • Consumer Directed Attendant Care – Clients who can’t do everything on their own can count on our staff for help with daily activities or needs
  • Home-Based Habilitation – Staff helps the client learn or improve on skills they need to live independently

Waiver Homes

Some individuals need more help than a regular guardian or caregiver can provide. Sometimes disabled people are left alone with no family or friends to help them with basic daily tasks. When this happens, they may be in need of a waiver home. There are several waiver homes around Carroll County, but if you live outside the area, we can help you get in touch with a waiver home in your area. Homes like this help teach residents financial management skills, how to cook, how to clean, and even how to shop. These homes are not at all like nursing homes. We still encourage independence in all our residents and can even help them learn how to foster personal relationships and connections to their community.

Crisis Care

Are you a parent or guardian that has recently experienced a serious illness and has found it hard to take care of your children? Do you struggle with mental health issues, substance abuse, or domestic violence and don’t feel your children are safe in your home? Maybe there was recently a death in the family and you need time to make arrangements? We know that not everybody in the community has a support system they trust to take care of their children when things go wrong. That’s where we can help. If you’ve experienced any of the above situations, you can bring your children to our facilities. We will provide a safe and nurturing environment for your child while you take care of what needs to be done.

Parent Time-Out

Unlike Crisis Care, Parent Time-Out is for parents who are experiencing issues getting adequate child care for their children and have certain tasks they need to accomplish. If you need to attend therapy sessions, need some time to study for classes, or just need to run some errands without all the kids in tow, we can help. It’s important to stay mentally healthy for your children instead of stressed and flustered. Everybody needs a break sometimes, so call today.

Early Care & Education Projects

Early education opportunities are essential for children’s’ future success. We partner with several organizations that are dedicated to ensuring kids are ready for school before they even go. They also support young children who are struggling in school with coaching and resources for parents. If you’ve got young children and are looking for some extra school help, try one of these organizations.
